Two Arrested After Road Rage Incident in Somerset County
Maryland State Police have arrested two people from Virginia after an alleged road rage incident in Somerset County on Saturday. Police say 31 year old Kiana Chandler was driving a blue Volkswagen with Virginia tags when she brake checked the victim who came up behind her on Route 13 in Somerset County. As the victim moved to pass the Volkswagen – the driver pointed a gun at him.
Police located the Volkswagen a short time later and performed a traffic stop. A handgun with a loaded magazine was found in the vehicle. Chandler and a passenger, 31 year old Rendell Chandler – both of Painter, Virginia – were arrested.
Kiana Chandler is charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault, reckless endangerment and other offenses and was released on a $30,000 unsecured bond.
Rendell Chandler is charged with a weapons violation and released on his own recognizance.
