A vehicle crash Monday afternoon just after 1:30 on Route 13 in Bridgeville sent two people to an area hospital. Delaware State Police say a Bronco driven by a 36 year old Felton woman and a GMC driven by a 76 year old Bridgeville man were stopped at the red light on Redden Road. When the light turned green, both vehicles began traveling eastbound through the intersection when a tractor trailer hauling a crane ran the red light on Route 13 and collided with the Bronco and then overturned on top of the GMC.
The drivers of the Bronco and GMC were treated for minor injuries at an area hospital and released.
The driver of the tractor trailer – a 58 year old Dagsboro man – was not injured, but was cited for failure to stop at a red light.
