Two Injured in Crash on Route 1 at Hudson Road near Milton Tuesday Morning

Two people were injured in a crash just after 9:30 Tuesday morning at Route 1 and Hudson Road near Milton. Delaware State Police say the driver of a Cadillac, a 73 year old man from Millsboro stopped at the stop sign on Hudson Road, but failed to remain stopped and attempted to cross the southbound lanes of Route 1 where it entered the path of a Jeep, driven by a 24 year old woman from Ellendale.
Police say the Millsboro man was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Jeep was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Traffic was detoured around part of the accident scene and was backed up for several miles in both directions on Route 1.聽 The scene was cleared just before 11am.聽 聽
