Two Millsboro Residents Arrested on Drug Offenses after Probation and Parole Search
Two from Millsboro have been arrested of felony drug and other offenses following a Probation and Parole search Thursday. Probation and Parole conducted an administrative search at probationer Amanda Seward’s Godwin Street residence in Millsboro. Sussex County Governor’s Task Force members were called when probation officers found drugs, paraphernalia and suspected drug money. Police detained the 34 year old Seward and 40 year old Brian Truitt. A search of the residence turned up the following: Â
- Approximately 23.77 grams of methamphetamines
- 3 acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate pills
- 3 fentanyl test strips, 3 xylazine drug test kits, and 1 medetomidine test strip
- Digital scales
- Drug paraphernalia
- $621.00 in suspected drug proceeds

Amanda Seward was arrested and taken to Troop 4, where she was charged with the crimes listed below:
- Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Tier 2 (Felony)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tier 2 (Felony)
- Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance or Counterfeit Substance except Human Growth Hormone without a Prescription
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – 3 counts
Seward was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and released on a $27,800 unsecured bond. Seward is being held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution for probation violations.

Brian Truitt was arrested and taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with the crimes listed below:
- Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Tier 2 (Felony)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tier 2 (Felony)
- Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance or Counterfeit Substance except Human Growth Hormone without a Prescription
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – 3 counts
Truitt was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and released on a $28,800 unsecured bond.Â
