Two suspects who were spotted shoplifting in the Rehoboth are on Sunday were arrested after leading Delaware State Police on a chase.  Police spotted their car on Route 1 south of Milton just after 7pm and pulled them over for a traffic stop, but as the Trooper approached the car, the suspects drove off.  The car traveled on the shoulder of Route1 and ran onto a traffic island at Route 16 and collided with an electric box – and kept going striking a Mazda and a van and went off the road into a mailbox  where the car stopped – but the suspects ran off on foot.  They were arrested after a short foot chase.  Both 23 year old Tajah Brooks and 22 year old Nafese Pierce, both of Philadelphia, were treated for non-life threatening injuries and charged with a variety of offenses – Brooks faces additional traffic charges.  Police seized merchandise stolen from nine area stores from their car.  None of the victims in the other vehicles were seriously injured.
