Two Vehicle Crash in Milton Leaves 1 Dead and 1 Injured
UPDATED – 06/08/25 – Delaware State Police have identified 74 year old Mary O’Bier of Ellendale as the woman who died in the fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Friday in Milton.

ORIGINAL STORY – 06/07/25 – One person is dead after a 2 vehicle crash Friday afternoon on Route 16 and Mulberry Street in Milton. Delaware State Police say a bronco was northbound on Mulberry Street and a fully marked Sussex County EMS unit responding to a call with its emergency equipment activated was westbound on Route 16.
Investigation shows the Bronco moved past the posted stop sign and into the path of the EMS unit, which struck the Bronco on the passenger side. The Bronco rotated and struck a tree.
The driver of the Bronco – a 74 year old Ellendale woman was taken to an area hospital where she later died.
The driver of the EMS unit – a 38 year old female County Paramedic was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
