UPDATED: Upcoming Airfield Closures at Easton Airport Due to Ongoing Modernization Project

UPDATE 04/09/26:

The Easton Airport will experience several closures over the coming weeks due to the ongoing airfield modernization project. A full airport closure is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. May 11th through 7:00 a.m. May 14th, during which both runways will be closed, though helicopters may still operate from ramp areas. After that, Runway 15/33 will reopen, but Runway 4/22 will remain closed until May 22nd, close again from May 26th through June 3rd, and reopen at 9:00 a.m. that day. In addition, several taxiways are closed starting April 13th, and aircraft should expect to use alternate routes through ramp areas, leading to increased traffic. Officials advise checking the latest NOTAMs for updates.

 
Additional Information from Easton Airport:

 Runway 15/33 is currently Closed until May 14th at 0700L

> FULL AIRPORT CLOSURE – Runway 4/22 and Runway 15/33 will be Closed from May 11th 0700L until May 14th at 0700 – Helicopter Operations permitted from Ramps Only 

After the Full Airport Closure, Runway 15/33 will Open for normal operations.

> Runway 4/22 will remain Closed until Friday, May 22 at 0800L (Memorial Day Weekend)

> Runway 4/22 will Close again on Tuesday, May 26th at 0700L until June 3rd at 0900L 

> Multiple Taxiway Closures; check NOTAMS for the most up to date information. 

> Beginning April 13 at 0700L, a significant portion of Taxiway A, Taxiway E, and a portion of Taxiway D will be closed. Aircraft should expect to taxi via Taxilane T (Ramp area between Terminal Building and Easton Jet). Users and Businesses are reminded to keep the Taxilane clear and expect a high volume of aircraft taxiing through the ramps.

The construction phase of the Airfield Modernization Program at Easton Airport continues in 2026. The goal of the initiatives is to enhance the safety and operational efficiency of airport facilities and bring the airfield into compliance with current FAA standards. The following are updates on upcoming closures:

  • UPDATED: Runway 15/33 Closed – March 23, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. to April 13, 2026, at 7:00 a.m.

 

  •  Full Airport Closure April 20 to April 23, 2026
    (Back Up Dates April 24 to April 27, 2026)

 

  • Ramps will remain open for helicopter operations

 

  • Runway 04/22 Closed – April 28 to May 28, 2026
