UPDATED – 05/10/24 – The Upper Ferry will return to service on Sunday, May 12th!! County officials say that all the parts that were on back order were available and installed over the past week.

ORIGINAL STORY – 04/30/24 – The Upper Ferry over the Wicomico River west of Salisbury will be shut down Tuesday, April 30 and will not be in service for a few weeks. Officials say a routine follow-up to last year’s overhaul of the vessel is being completed to ensure reliability and safety for all.
