US Senator Chris Coons Announces Run for Re-election


Chris Coons has announced that he is running for re-election to the US Senate – by video. Coons, who is Delaware’s Senior Senator, has been in office since 2010 and serves on several committees – including Appropriations, Judiciary and Foreign Relations. Coons says he’s running for re-election because he fights every day for the people of Delaware and the job’s not done.

Coons will face a challenge from the winner of the Republican Primary on September 15th between Michael Katz and John Shulli.

Chris was first elected to the Senate in 2010, and serves on the Appropriations, Judiciary, Foreign Relations, Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and Ethics committees. 

He lives in Wilmington with his wife Annie, with whom he has three adult children.
