VETERANS DAY EVENTS

  • Tuesday, Nov 11 – 11-12pm – VFW Post 7447 will host its annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Rehoboth Bandstand followed by an open house at the Post Home on State Road in Rehoboth Beach from 12 to 2pm and an open house at American Legion Post 5 on King Charles Ave, Rehoboth Beach from 2 to 4pm.

  • Tuesday, Nov 11 – 11am – VFW Post 7234, Ocean View – Veterans Day ceremony  

  • Tuesday, Nov 11 – 11-12pm – Veteran’s Day ceremony at the Worcester County Veterans Memorial at Ocean Pines  

  • Tuesday, Nov 11 – 3-4pm – Synepuxent American Legion Post 166, Ocean City Veterans Day celebration. 4-5pm – Star Dedication Ceremony  

  • Tuesday, Nov 11 – 11am – American Legion Nanticoke Post 6 in Seaford, Veterans Day Ceremony at Kiwanis Park followed by an open house at Post 6 at 12:30pm  

  • Tuesday, Nov 11 – 11am – Veterans Day Ceremony at Wicomico County Veterans’ War Memorial in front of the Wicomico County Youth & Civic Center. There will be patriotic music, prayer and remembrance to all veterans. (in case of weather – will be moved inside) 

  • ** Tuesday, Nov 11 – 2pm – Kent County Chapter 850, Vietnam Veterans of America – Veterans Day Ceremony will be held inside Levy Court on the 2nd floor due to predicted cold, cloudy, windy weather.   Retired Air Force Lt. General William Welser III will serve as our keynote speaker.  Due to the smaller venue, there will be no placements of wreaths.

  • Tuesday, Nov 11 – 10:00am-12pm – Veterans Memorial Park, Cherry Lane, New Castle. Veterans Day Service. At 10am – The newly renovated and expanded Wall of Remembrance will be dedicated
