WGMD Fishing Report 10-16-21

hannity-promo

Saturday the sun was shining, the temperature was in the 80s and it was a beautiful October day.  Except for one little thing, the wind was howling out of the south at 20 to 25 knots with gusts to 30 and seas were running four to five feet on the ocean.  Delaware Bay wasn’t much better and no boats went out and none will be going out on Sunday when the wind goes to the northwest at the same speed.  Monday will see winds still out of the northwest at 15 to 20 with gusts to 25 and three to four feet seas on the ocean.  Delaware Bay is very dangerous on any hard northwest blow.

The only fishing report we have is from Old Inlet.  They said some small blues were caught from the surf on cut mullet and small tog were taken from the inlet on sand fleas and green crabs.

From what few reports we have had over the past weeks it would appear the summer flounder are moving further offshore.  Black sea bass are still available and still filling limits.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
