WGMD Fishing Report 10-31-19

Wednesday saw good fishing weather with light winds and moderate temperatures.  Thursday will see gale warnings that could stay around until Friday.  Right now, it looks like Saturday will be fishable.

We had a report from Captain Monty Hawkins on the Morning Star out of Ocean City that he was able to limit out the boat on black sea bass fishing on the first spot they anchored.  Most of the fish were caught on bait, but some were taken on jigs.  In addition, they had big blues around cutting some of the keeper sea bass in two.  This is the first report of big blues I have had this fall.

Closer to home Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said the katydid fished for tog on Wednesday and caught a few.  Michael Upman brought in a 10-pound snakehead that he caught from the Blackwater Refuge in Dorchester County, Maryland to have it cleaned.  He has promised Amanda a taste once it is cooked.  The Judy Lynn with Captain Art Lodge had a three-man boat limit of sea bass over ocean structure.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
