WGMD Fishing Report 11-11-18

Sunday was better than Saturday, but not many boats went out on the water.  Monday looks like the best day this week.

Spoke with Bill’s Sport Shop and was told Bill Baker is in a Milford rehab recovering from his fall last Sunday.  We wish him a speedy recovery.

At Lewes Harbour Marina the report was one or two boats went tog fishing, but only had limited success.  Chris at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em had the same report.

At Captain Bone’s Bait and Tackle Patty told us Dominick Vavala caught a one-pound, nine-ounce yellow perch on a swim shad out of the Appoquinimick Creek.

At Smith Bait and Tackle Steve reported that Christian Pruneda had a one-pound, two-ounce yellow perch on a minnow from the Leipsic River.

Reports from the north Jersey area indicate stripers in the 20 to 30-pound class with at least one 50 pounder being caught from head and party boats.  If the fish are on sand eels then Diamond jigs are doing the job.  When bunker are the prime feed then snag and drop works best.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD Fishing Report.
