WGMD Fishing Report 11-17-19

Saturday delivered the gale warnings as promised and Sunday will do the same. Some tackle shops didn’t open and I am certain no boats left the dock.

Since you can’t fish on Sunday you might as well join me and a host of other frustrated anglers at Butch Emmert’s 2nd Annual Sportsman and Outdoor Sale.  It begins at 9:30 AM, but will run for most of the day, with lots of neat fishing and hunting stuff going to the highest bidder.  The auction will be held at 20673 Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach at the Emmert Gallery behind Rehoboth Auto Repair.  This is on the Forgotten Mile and there will be signs posted.

In addition to rods, reels, guns and decoys there will be boats, trucks, oyster cans and campers.  Two electric reels should draw lots of attention with all the interest in swordfishing right now.

If you plan to bid on an item, set your price and don’t let the excitement of the process cause you to keep raising your bid.  Butch will be happy, but you may pay way too much for the item.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
