WGMD Fishing Report 11-2-21

The wind was not a problem on Tuesday, but only one charter boat ran from Lewes Harbour Marina and the Katydid fished in Delaware Bay. He brought back tog, triggerfish and blowfish.

Wednesday will see northwest winds at 10 to 15 with gust to 20 on the ocean and bay. Seas on the ocean will be at least three feet and NOAA says seas on the Delaware Bay will be less than two feet. Don’t you believe it. When those 20-knot northwest winds run against the incoming current I can promise you the seas in Delaware Bay will be well above two feet. Thursday the wind will be north at 10 knots and then the seas on the ocean will be three feet and the bay will be two feet or less.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said more keeper tog were caught on sand fleas and green crabs from the rocks at Indian River Inlet. Short rockfish have been taken on soft plastics, but the night shift has come up empty with their live eels.
