Wednesday saw warm temperatures with light winds.

Lewes Harbour Marina reported only the Katydid ventured out and they returned with a catch of tog. The current standings of the Lewes Harbour Marina Tog Tournament have Jason DeStafney in First Place with an 8.13-pound tog. Brian Kelly holds down Second and Third place with a 5.56 and a 5.47-pound tog.

On Wednesday, State Parks announced the new rules for Surf Fishing Permits. No limit on the number of permits sold, but you must make reservations if you want to fish holidays or Saturdays or Sundays from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Permits will cost $4.00 per day. They will be good from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. If you don’t have a reservation, you will not be allowed to drive on the beach during those times. If you do have a reservation, you can enter the park and drive on the beach even if the park is full.
