WGMD Fishing Report 11-24-19
Saturday saw good fishing weather and the few boats that remain in the water were able to get out and catch some tog. Gale warnings are already up for Sunday so enjoy those football games and family times.
At Lewes Harbour Marina Tom said the Katydid with Captain Brent had a good catch of tog, but since the party elected to take the fish home in the round instead of bringing them to the cleaning table, the exact number could only be guessed at 16. The head boat Angler had 13 tog for their customers.
I spoke with Captain Carey Evans on the Grizzly and he said he was able to put his customers on a boat limit of tog.
At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle the report was the same as it has been, tog from the rocks on sand fleas and green crabs. A few rockfish at night on live eels fished from the jetties.
It breaks my heart to read reports of 30 to 40-pound stripers caught in North Jersey while we languish in Delaware catching a few measly shorts or just barely legal fish.
