WGMD Fishing Report 12-28-18

While Thursday was a beautiful day, Friday was about as ugly as it gets.  Gale warnings and heavy rain kept everyone off the water and while the air was warm, it didn’t help.

Lewes Harbour Marina will be open on an as needed basis during the winter.  Tommy will be there most days and if he is needed his phone number is on the door.  Don’t forget, the Delaware Saltwater Fly Fishermen will meet here every Saturday morning between 9:00 AM and noon to swap stories and tie flies.  They are a good bunch of fishermen and welcome new members or even people who just want to learn a little about their sport.

I tried to contact Bill’s Sport Shop, but no one answered the phone.  The last time I spoke with Bill he was talking about retirement, but that was far from certain.

Rick’s Bait and Tackle in Long Neck usually stays open in the winter, but may have shorter hours.  I suggest you call before stopping by.

Ice House Bait and Tackle said they will be open at least for the first week of the New Year.
