WGMD Fishing Report 4-18-19

The marine forecast on Wednesday called for northeast 10 to 15 knots with gusts to 20, but no small craft advisories.  Seas were predicted at two to three feet.  I did not get to the ocean, but in my experience when we have a northeast blow of that magnitude the seas are more than two to three feet or perhaps, they just look bigger from a small boat.

Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina told me no one went out on Wednesday, but he is hopeful someone will give tog fishing a try on Thursday.

Dan at Dan’s Tackle Shop reported black drum caught on clams from Broadkill Beach.  I saw photos of one angler with three taken on Tuesday.  I plan to be there on Thursday, so that should shut down that bite.

Chris at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said he did clean two tog caught from a private boat.  The fish were taken at Site 10.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle the report was small rockfish caught from the north and southside beaches on bloodworms.
