WGMD Fishing Report 6-14-19

Thursday arrived as advertised.  Heavy rain, lots of wind and rough seas.

I do have a few reports left over from before the weather turned nasty.

Rick’s Bait and Tackle reported that Phillip Lowe caught a 5-pound, 6-ounce flounder on a live minnow out of Indian River Bay.  Alex King had two flounder to 19.5 inches out of Massey’s Ditch on minnows.  Joe Ribinski had a 48-pound bluefin on a Green Machine out of the Baltimore Canyon.  Aidan Dawson used a clam to catch a 41-pound black drum at the Coral Beds.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us that Tavin Mullen caught a two-pound flounder on fresh cut bluefish while fishing on the Judy V.  Ryan Lewis used a jighead tipped with a Z-Man to pull a 5-pound, 6-ounce trout from the southside jetty at Indian River Inlet.

Once this windy and wet weather pattern gets out of here it looks like summer weather will move in.  South to southwest winds and dry weather should get fishing back to normal whatever normal is.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing Report.
