WGMD Fishing Report 7-23-19
Monday saw the heat continue, but people still went fishing.
The Paradise Grill-Shorts Marine Flounder Tournament ended on Sunday with Luke Horney walking away with the $10,000 first prize for his 5.5-pound flounder. Todd Stevenson came in second winning $5,000 for a 5.1-pound flounder and Tom Passwaters was third taking $3,000 for a 5.0 pounder. In fourth place winning $1,500 was Team Rickās with a 4.6-pound flounder and Jeff Stevens came in fifth with his 4.4 pounder. All of those fish were caught out of the Back Bays.
Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid had a catch of sea bass on Monday and the Angler had kings and blues. Captain Pete Haines on the Top Fin put his party on a good catch of bluefish.
At Hook āem and Cook āem they told us the Captain Ike had kings and Spanish mackerel on Sunday. Captain John Nedelka on the Karen Sue continues to put his parties on blues and Spanish mackerel.
