DE State Record Blue Catfish, 43″ and 47.75-pounds. Caught by Colt Williamson of Harrington in the Nanticoke River

As promised, Friday saw small craft advisories up for the ocean and bay.  On Saturday they will stay up for the ocean and drop down for the bay, but it will still be a bit lumpy out there with three to four-foot seas.

We have a new Delaware State Record blue catfish.  The 47.75-pound monster was caught out of the Nanticoke River on August 31 by Colt Williamson of Harrington.  The new record was weighed at Taylored Tackle in Seaford and verified by Johnny Moore, a fisheries biologist with the Division of Fish and Wildlife.  The new record eclipsed the old one by more than 11 pounds.  That fish was also weighed at Taylored Tackle.  It was caught by Jordan Chelton and weighed 36.32 pounds.
