Small craft advisories were still up on the ocean, but dropped on the bay.  Boats fished both bodies of water with success.

Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid fished the bay and came back with trout, blowfish, blues and pompano. The Angler had blowfish, trout and bluefish all over bay structure.

On the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park, Lighthouse View Tackle told us a few blues and flounder were caught at high tide on Friday.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em had good reports from the Captain Ike and the Spectacle who both brought in good numbers of sea bass.  The Miss Ene had a catch of blues.  A few flounder were caught out of the Inlet.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said the water remained dirty in the surf and the Inlet resulting in only a few scattered blues from both locations.  A wind shift to the west on Saturday should clear things up and improve the fishing.

The Fish Bound out of Ocean City ran a half-day trip on Friday and was able to find triggerfish, flounder and sea bass.
