WGMD Fishing Report 9-24-20

rob-carson

Wednesday should be the last day of the current run of bad weather.  It looks like Thursday through Sunday we should have decent sea conditions.  Let’s hope the fish are still here and can find our baits and lures.

Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina said no one went out in the ocean or bay on Wednesday, but everybody is going on Thursday.  I hope they all catch limits of everything they go after.

At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em the report was the same.  No one out on Wednesday, but boats will be going on Thursday.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said with the water up to the base of the dunes, surf fishing was all but impossible.  They had no reports of anything caught out of the inlet.

As we move into fall fishing, there will be plenty of action along the beaches once the waves settle down.  I expect to see a good run of bluefish chasing mullet with the possibility of a few false albacore mixing in the fun.  Bait and wait with mullet or cast and blast with metal.
