Wicomico County adds make-up days to 2017/2018 school calendar

The Wicomico County School board making some tweaks for the 2017/2018 school year calendar because of the five days the schools were closed following the early January snowstorm.  The board approving three possible makeup days at the end of the year, on June 13, 14 and 15.  These are currently listed as early dismissal days.  The board also selecting June 8, 11 and 12 as full school days.  The board is seeking a waiver for the other two missed days.  That request will go to the Maryland state board of education; the School Board says it’ll wait for that answer before making any other changes to this year’s calendar.  An updated calendar will be posted after all changes have been finalized.
