Wicomico County Awarded $1.75-Million FAA Grant for Salisbury Regional Airport Upgrades
Upgrades and modernization for the control tower at the Salisbury-Ocean City: Wicomico Regional Airport. The airport has been awarded a $1.75-million FAA Grant under the FY 2026 FAA Contract Tower Program. The funding will support the replacement of interior air traffic control tower consoles and associated equipment, help modernize critical infrastructure and enhance operational efficiency at the airport.

Andy Harris added, “Wicomico Regional Airport is a critical transportation hub for Maryland’s First District, driving commerce, travel, and economic activity across the region. The FAA award will fund air traffic control tower operations at Salisbury-Ocean City Wicomico Regional Airport and maintain commercial air service. The grant was awarded through the Federal Aviation Administration and announced by the Office of Representative Andy Harris.
