Wicomico county schools, libraries team up to offer virtual library cards

Wicomico public libraries are partnering with the county’s public schools to offer virtual library cards to students. All students grades 1-12 will now have access to all the information and services offered by county libraries, but they will not need a physical card. Instead, they will be able to use a password that is “WCPS + the students meal plan number” (ex. WCPS1234). The accounts will also be fine-free. Officials say the agreement removes barriers to allow students to easier access library services.
