Wicomico County Sheriff makes drug bust during traffic stop

Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis makes a drug bust. On Tuesday, the sheriff was patrolling the Route 13 bypass when he saw a commercial bus commit a moving violation. After pulling the bus over, Sheriff Lewis requested a K-9 unit to search the bus. A unit from Delmar Police Department alerted the sheriff to the presence of drugs in the baggage compartment. Deputies say the suspected bag had a large amount of marijuana and other paraphernalia in it. Deputies arrested a passenger, Joe Veale of Hampton VA, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. He was processed and released on $15,000 unsecured bond.
