UPDATED: Additional Woodland Ferry Closure Dates

UPDATED – 01/02/24 – DelDOT officials will close the Woodland Ferry at 11:30am Wednesday, January 3rd for the day and at 11:30am Thursday, January 4th for the day.

ORIGINAL STORY – 12/29/23 – The Woodland Ferry will be closed from December 30th through New Year’s Day, according to DelDOT. The ferry will also be closed for a week later in the month, from January 22 through January 29. Operation of the service has been curtailed for much of 2023 due to the difficulty of securing licensed captains willing to operate the ferry crossing of the Nanticoke River.
