Drug dealer arrested in Laurel for loitering

In Laurel police bust a drug dealer after he was reported loitering. According to police when Jerziah Witherspoon was stopped this week for loitering, he refused to tell police his name. Officers then attempted to place Witherspoon under arrest who in turn began resisting. After getting him under control, police discovered over a gram of heroin on him as well as two active warrants out for his arrest. Witherspoon was charged with posession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, among other charges. He is currently in Department of Correction custody in default of $2,000 secured bond.
