UPDATED 2/13/19 – On Tuesday evening, Delaware State Police were called to assist DNREC Fish and Wildlife Officers after a body was found washed up on the north side of the Indian River Inlet Bridge. Police tell WGMD the body of a 48 year old woman from Lewes was found by surfers in the area. The body has been turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science to determine the cause and manner of death. Police say there is no suspicious activity surrounding the incident at this time.
Rehoboth Beach emergency personnel were called just before 5pm for a possible drowning after a body was found in the water on the north side of the Indian River Inlet. Delaware State Police and other agencies are investigating.
