UPDATED: Frankford Woman Dies in Crash North of Dagsboro


UPDATED – 11pm – A crash just after 2pm on Dagsboro Road north of Fire Tower Road north of Dagsboro has left one person dead.  Delaware State Police continue to investigate, but say a car driven by a 59 year old woman from Frankford crossed the center line and collided with a container hauler driven by a Maryland man.  The truck driver tried to avoid the crash but was not able to.  Police say the driver of the car was not properly restrained and was pronounced dead at the scene.  The truck driver was treated for minor injuries.  Police say drugs or alcohol usage is not believed to be a factor for either driver.


UPDATE: The roadway was re-opened about 6:30pm.


Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal auto accident on Dagsboro Road, near Firetower Road in the Dagsboro area. Expect road closure for several hours.
