Georgetown Man Injured after Colliding with Train near Dagsboro

Delaware State Police are investigating a crash between a pickup  and a train on Dagsboro Road Monday night just after 11.  Police say the driver of the pickup, 48 year old David Sayre of Georgetown tried to cross the railroad crossing and struck one of the train cars.  The operator of the train was able to stop the train after the collision.  Police smelled alcohol coming from Sayre who was taken to Beebe Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  Sayre is charged with DUI and no insurance.  The operator of the train and a passenger were not injured.
