Tuesday is the Indian River School District’s major capital improvement and current expense referendum – there will be 2 questions on the ballot.  The district is looking to build a new Sussex Central High School, an 8-classroom addition at Indian River High School and a 4-classroom addition at Selbyville Middle School.  Residents are also being asked to approve funding for staff, curriculum, supplies, transportation and utility expenses for a high school and elementary school.  Approval will mean a maximum possible tax increase of $87.55 per year for the average district property owner.  Polls will be open from 7am to 8pm at East Millsboro Elementary, Georgetown Elementary, Indian River HS, Long Neck Elementary, Lord Baltimore Elementary and Selbyville Middle.
