Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, a Republican, gave presentation at the State House in Annapolis on Thursday regarding the “Clean Cars Act”, legislation that highlights the importance of converting to more environmentally-sound technology.

With his wife, First Lady Yumi Hogan alongside him, the Governor test drove several fuel-cell technology cars. He did so to highlight the new legislation that would double the original three million dollars in funding toward awarding a tax credit to Maryland drivers who make the switch the electric cars.

The bill would also call for six million dollars to go toward the Electric Vehicle Tax Credit program that was given out and depleted in November. The tax credit will also apply to additional makes and models this year.
