A woman gets set up after giving a friend a ride to a restaurant.

On Tuesday evening, a woman called Georgetown police after being robbed in the parking lot of the Harvest Diner. She told officers an acquaintance, Tyazsha Sturgis of Georegtown, had asked her for a ride to the restaurant.

When they got into the parking lot, a man with a gun approached, demanded money and items from the driver before running off. At that time Sturgis took off running as well.

Georgetown police located the suspects at Sturgis’ home, and a K-9 unit found a handgun near the scene of the crime.

Both Sturgis and her accomplice, Terrence Cook of Georgetown, were arrested on robbery and conspiracy charges, and committed to state correctional facilities on over $100,000 secured bonds.
