A 58-year-old man from Pennsylvania was arrested and is facing charges for selling counterfeit trademarked merchandise at a Special Olympics fundraiser in Rehoboth Beach over the weekend.

Authorities tell WGMD that Edward D. Brandt of Newtown, Pennsylvania was observed by officers attempting to sell the items at the Polar Bear Plunge fundraiser in Rehoboth Beach on Sunday. Rehoboth Beach Police say Brandt sold approximately 145 counterfeit Lewes Polar Bear Lunge T-Shirts, for which he profited several hundred dollars.

This is not Brandt’s first run in with Delaware law enforcement. He had a prior conviction in 2005 in Kent County.

Brandt was charged with displaying and attempting to sell trademarked counterfeit merchandise, a felony due to his prior conviction.
