A Salisbury man has been arrested after he tried to detonate a destructive device in Washington County on December 29th.  Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies contacted the Maryland State Fire Marshal Bomb Squad to assist – the device was found in the parking lot of an apartment complex and was determined to be a functional intact explosive device.  On Friday the Bomb Squad went into a Hammond Street home in Salisbury and arrested 51 year old Michael Thorn, who is charged with possessing a destructive device and other offenses.  He is being held without bond until a hearing Monday morning.
