WGMD Fishing Report 11-23-18

The weather was pretty good on Friday and a few boats were able to fish the ocean.  Saturday, on the other hand, is not looking too good.  After a brief lull in the morning, it will be wind and rain for the remainder of the day.

At Lewes Harbour Marina Tommy told us that Carter Dirado brought in a 48-inch, 42.5-pound rockfish that he caught while trolling at the Eights.  That is the way to get the fall rockfish season off to a fantastic start.  The Katydid caught ten tog with the three largest earning citations at 8.14, 7.53 and 8.05 pounds.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle the report was short tog with the occasional keeper from the inlet on green crabs and sand fleas.  The only fish caught from the beach have been spiny dog sharks.

When I spoke with Chris at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em he told me there were a few boats that ran to the deep looking for swordfish, but had not returned by the time I called.
