WGMD Fishing Report 4-27-19

Friday saw small craft advisories followed by a tornado warning so not too many people went fishing.

Lewes Harbour Marina reported that Matt Nein and his son Colton did catch a 24-inch black drum from the beach on a clam.  Doug Crossan made his first cast of the day from the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park using a mullet rig that I suppose was baited with mullet and was rewarded with a big bluefish.  On Thursday Carl High had an 8.24-pound citation tog and Scott Shoup had a 7.5-pound citation while fishing from the Katydid.  Steve Petkus and Kenny Robinson caught three flounder ranging from 17 to 20 inches out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on Thursday using Gulp! for Bait.

Rick’s Bait and Tackle checked in a 6.3-pound catfish for Avery Strickler that she caught out of the Nanticoke River on a chunk of bunker that won her a Delaware Youth Citation.
