WGMD Fishing Report 5-28-19

build-a-better-community-OCMD

Monday saw beautiful weather to end an almost perfect Memorial Day Weekend.

Fishing reports were a little thin as I suppose folks were heading home and not as many went fishing.

We did see a report from the Captain Ike from Sunday when they brought in a 156-pound thresher shark.

The Fish Bound out of Ocean City had a great weekend of sea bass action with boat limits all three days.  The head boat Morning Star, also out of Ocean City, did very well on sea bass to 3.4 pounds.

Dan’s Tackle Box told us Kenny caught and released a 22-inch rockfish at Oyster Rocks on Sunday evening.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina told us the Reel Chaotic had a nice catch of black sea bass at the Del-Jersey-Land Reef using clams for bait.  Rick fished on his birthday aboard the Surface Tension with Captain Keith Beebe and caught good numbers of sea bass.  Young Mike Angstadt fished the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal with his dad and caught a 17 and a 17.5-inch flounder.

The Judy V has been catching blues on her half-day trips.

This is Eric Burnley with you WGMD fishing Report
