DSP Arrest Fugitive from Florida

An investigation into illegal drug sales from a home on Magnolia Drive North in Lewes led Delaware State Police to 28 year old Rashad Sharp who was staying at the residence.  Police learned that there was a warrant by the Dewey Beach Alderman Court for offensive touching and a warrant from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in Florida for a variety of drug, weapons and other charges.  On Friday the State Police Governor’s Task Force, and other agencies arrested Sharp without incident.  After seeing suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in plain view police executed a search warrant and seized over 8 grams of cocaine and $140 dollars in suspected drug proceeds.  Sharp was charged with additional drug offenses and being an out of state fugitive.  He’s being held at SCI in default of a $9500 cash bond.
