MD Man Charged after Milton area Crash

A 37 year old Bel Air, Maryland man is charged with DUI and assaulting police officers after a crash Monday night in Milton. A Delaware State Trooper saw a Pathfinder strike a construction barrier next to the left lane on Coastal Highway south of Broadkill Road. The Pathfinder also struck a fully marked DRBA Police Tahoe. Both the officer and trooper were trying to contact the driver of the Pathfinder who tried to drive off, but the two officers pulled him from the vehicle to the ground where the driver – identified as Kevin Jasovsky physically resisted arrest and injured both the officer and trooper, who smelled alcohol on Jasovsky. The trooper and Jasovsky were taken to an area hospital for treatment, and both were released later in the evening.

While Jasovsky was at the hospital he was charged with the following crimes:

  • Assault Second Degree of a Law Enforcement Officer (Felony)
  • Offensive Touching of a Law Enforcement Officer
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Driving Under the Influence
  • Traffic offenses

Jasovsky was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $12,325 cash bond.
