Bethany Beach Police were called to Evans Avenue for reports of a disorderly subject punching holes inside a house. The owner of the Airbnb rental reported the incident – however police had been called to the same address the night before for reports of a loud party.
Police learned that 21 year old Nijae Harris of Laurel went to the house and threatened to stab other guests with a knife and also cut the clothes of one guest with scissors. During that altercation Harris struck another guest with an object damaging their eye glasses. Guests left the Airbnb – but Harris remained inside causing additional damage to the property and guests’ personal items. Harris was gone when police arrived and attempts to locate her were unsuccessful.
Warrants have been obtained for her arrest on charges of terroristic threatening, offensive touching and criminal mischief.
If you know where Harris is – contact Bethany Beach Police at 302-539-1000.
