Beat the Peak Alert Issued for Choptank & Delaware Electric Cooperative Members Today

A Beat the Peak Alert has been issued for Choptank and Delaware Electric Cooperative members for 3 to 6 pm today. During these times when the cost to purchase and produce power for members is high, Beat the Peak alerts are issued.聽 During these alert periods, we ask members to conserve energy:
- turn the thermostat up a few degrees
- delay use of appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines, and clothes dryers
- turn off unnecessary lights
