Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/02/25
Friday was a blowout day on the ocean, bay and surf. Saturday looks to be the same with small craft advisories up for northeast winds and 7-foot seas on the ocean and not much better on Delaware Bay.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said there was a run of small blues at the end of incoming water at the Inlet on Friday morning. Bucktails were the ticket to success.
Julie Stevenson and Mike Fischer had two really good days of fishing at the Old Grounds. It started on July 29th when Mike caught an 18-inch flounder and two mahi. Julie had three flounder from 18 to 22 inches. Then on July 30th Julie caught her four-fish limit to a five-pounder. All flounder were caught using a 6-inch pink shine Gulp! and a minnow.
