Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 04/28/26

Monday saw small craft advisories up for the ocean and bay so no boats left their dock or trailer so far as I could gather from Lewes Harbour Marina or Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em. Unfortunately, it appears that those same small craft advisories will be up again on Friday, May 1st when we are supposed to have the grand opening of black sea bass season. The wind is forecast to be 15 to 20 northwest with 3 to 5-foot seas. The wind and seas lay down a bit on Saturday, but then the forecast calls for rain. Oh Joy!

In spite of Monday’s weather, Lewes Harbour Marina reported that some bluefish were caught on spoons at Cape Henlopen State Park. Striped bass were also caught from the surf on sand fleas.
