Arrest in Bridgeville Homicide

Delaware State Police have made an arrest in a homicide last month in Bridgeville. Police arrested 23 year old Ian’Tae Albury of Bridgeville in the death of 26 year old Dequan Lake, who was found November 25th along Mill Park Drive with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Lake died at a nearby hospital. Detectives identified Albury as the suspect and got a warrant for his arrest. Albury was arrested Friday after the warrant was served at a Mill Park Drive residence.

He was taken to Troop 5 where he was charged with the following crimes:

  • Murder First Degree (Felony)
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (Felony) – 3 counts
  • Possession of Firearm Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (Felony) – 2 counts
  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon (Felony)

Albury was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $1,160,000 cash bond.
