UPDATED: Blades Voters Elect New Mayor

UPDATED  4/1/19  6:45pm – Voters in Blades have elected a new mayor.  John Reiss won the vote with 42 votes to David Ruff’s 30 votes.  Swearing in to take place at the next town council meeting on April 8th, 2019 at 7pm.  The council will appoint someone to fill the remainder of John Reiss’s term, which ends in April of 2020.


Residents in Blades will go to the polls on Monday to elect a mayor.  Incumbent David Ruff is challenged by current commissioner John Reiss.  Two other commission seats were unopposed so Russell Joseph and Lee Benningfield will return to the commission.  The polls are open from 2 to 6pm at Hardin Hall.
