Crisfield Home Damaged by Unattended Cooking Fire

Fire crews were called to a home on Freedomtown Road in Crisfield just after 2:30 Saturday morning for a structure fire. The fire was discovered by the occupant who was alerted by the smoke alarm going off. The Maryland State Fire Marshal ruled the fire accidental – as a result of unattended cooking. Damage is estimated at $100,000.
